WTTR WELCOMES JACK EDWARDS, JOE EVELIUS,
AND JOHNNY DARK

AM 1470 WTTR is pleased to add three popular broadcasters to the staff.

Jack Edwards began on the air in Baltimore in 1959 at WCAO. After 15 years at Big 60 and another long run at the city's WCBM, Jack made the music happen at stations like 92 Star, WITH and WYRE. Many of us grew up with Jack Edwards and now he's here to play 'The Greatest Hits Of All Time'.
Join him weekdays 9 until noon.

Joe Evelius comes to WTTR with experience at stations like WITH, WAMD and WNAV. Evelius is nationally known as a collector of rare broadcast audio. He's also the producer of 'Christmas in Maryland', heard every year on stations around the state including WTTR and sister station WNAV. Joe is handling the new Saturday 10-3 shift.

Johnny Dark came to Baltimore in 1961 and the city will never let him go. His peak 61 percent share of the total audience in his daypart remains the highest ever audience rating in local history. Dark became the signature voice at 60 WCAO, personifying to a legion of fans the definition of Top 40 radio. An enduring icon to this day, Johnny also worked at WQSR before the station changed format in May of 2005.

Station Manager Bob Mathers says 'The addition of Jack, Joe, and Johnny is the first step in our efforts to provide WTTR listeners with more live and local personalities who know the community and the music. This makes for radio that's both entertaining and more relevant...the way it used to be and the way it should be'.
