In the Lady Owls’ opening game of the season, Maddy Gassman had a dominant performance.
The senior guard scored a career-high 29 points in leading the Owls to victory. She nearly had
a triple-double, contributing 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 9 pass deflections, and 14 steals.

Wrestling
Jack Bruffey won the Admiral Holloway Tournament for the fourth consecutive year. The senior
was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament, which included 16 teams. Jack
collected four first-period pins, two of them in the first twenty seconds.

Winters Mill
Wrestling
Chris Gaeng didn’t allow a single offensive point against him in winning the 165-pound weight
class at the Grindstone Duals, hosted by Winters Mill. He was a perfect 9-0, with all of his
victories coming by pin. In the process, the senior captain also picked up his 100 th career win
for the Falcons.
